Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen says that Friday night's match with Aston Villa will be a "six-pointer" for his side.
Christiansen's side are eighth whereas Villa are fourth, and the two sides face off in what could be a key match in the promotion race, live on Sky Sports Football from 7pm on Friday.
Leeds are four points outside the play-offs and six points Villa, and Christiansen believes a win is key against Steve Bruce's side.
He said: "It's a six-point game. They are a very tough and strong opponent.
"We need to at least be at the level we were at against Middlesbrough if we want to take the three points. They have a lot of quality in the team.
"It's important to keep going in the way of the last three games. Firstly for confidence, secondly because we want to stay near the top. For this we need three points."
Christiansen confirmed that Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Stuart Dallas will miss the game through injury, although Eunan O'Kane could be fit.
Christiansen is unhappy with the circumstances of Dallas' unavailability - he was substituted with injury in Northern Ireland's defeat to Switzerland in the first leg of the World Cup play-offs, but still played the whole of the second leg.
He has only played 13 minutes since then, and Christiansen said: "There was a possibility for him to play against Villa, but I didn't want to run any risks.
"He already played those two games with his national team, which was a bad decision for the future.
"There's nothing we can do right now. I hope he will be fit for QPR."
