Leeds have signed Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old German has scored 30 goals in 107 appearances for the Bundesliga club after moving from Hertha Berlin in 2013.

Lasogga, who is 6ft 2in tall, began his career with Beyer Leverkusen before joining Hertha in 2010 where he went on to score 24 goals in 70 games.

He represented Germany U21s 11 times between 2011 and 2013, scoring four goals.

Lassoga is seen as a replacement for Chris Wood, who joined Burnley in a £15m move last month.
