Marco Silva has a contract with Hull City until the end of next season, although it does contain a release clause if they are relegated, Sky sources understand.

The former Sporting Lisbon and Olympiacos head coach took over at the KCOM Stadium in January in the wake of Mike Phelan's sacking, with the club bottom of the table.

Some reports have suggested Silva is on a short-term deal until the end of the current campaign but Sky Sports News HQ understands that is not the case, with the 39-year-old having been given the opportunity to fully implement his ideas at the club.

Silva refused to be drawn on his future when he faced the media at his news conference ahead of Saturday's home game with Sunderland, insisting he will wait until after the end of the season before making any decision.

"For me, nothing has changed in my day, in my work and I will prepare my team like I prepare my day as well," said Silva, who has guided the Tigers to six wins in seven home matches in the Premier League since taking over from Phelan.
