Marco Silva feels Hull did not deserve Tom Huddlestone's 'game-changing' red card in their 4-0 defeat at Everton.
The Tigers were competing well at Goodison Park with only a goal between the sides but Huddlestone's sending off for a foul on Idrissa Gueye sparked a late capitulation.
"Of course, I'm disappointed," Silva told Sky Sports. "It was one game until 70 minutes and then another game. Surely we didn't deserve the decision.
"We didn't deserve what has happened in this moment in the game for 70 minutes and we didn't deserve what happened after.
"We came to compete and we play as a team. In the first half we had some problems but we caused problems for our opponents as well.
"Everton scored but we had a chance to score as well. If you look at the first half it was maybe equal chances for both teams.
"We started the second half very well and for 25 minutes it was good quality. We put Everton back and Ronald (Koeman) had to make a change to the system to add one centre-back.
"After that came one decision that I really don't understand and changed all of the game. Our team, our players, didn't deserve this decision.
"What I saw five minutes before was Lukaku fouled our player and not even receive a yellow card. This is what I saw.
"These decisions, the referee has a moment to decide, the same as I sometimes do on the side. But I think it is a yellow card."
Hull now face the prospect of being without their influential midfielder for three games in their battle against relegation but Silva is undecided on whether they will appeal.
"Maybe it will cause big problems for us in the coming games," he admitted. "We will need to decide what to do. But in this moment I don't want to talk more about this situation."
