Hull City have signed goalkeeper David Marshall from Cardiff City on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
He becomes caretaker boss Mike Phelan's first signing and, with Allan McGregor out with a long-term back injury, he will scrap it out with Eldin Jakupovic to be first choice keeper.
Marshall joins fellow Scotland internationals McGregor, Andy Robertson, Robert Snodgrass and Shaun Maloney at Hull.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, Marshall said he was delighted to finalise the deal and explained his international team-mates had played a role in convincing him to move to the KCOM stadium.
"There's a Scottish contingent here and I've spoke to the lads and the goalkeeping coach, so you get a feel for the place," said Marshall. "There's a good togetherness in the group and I think anyone can see that in the last couple of games.
"They've had issues in terms of players and the manager leaving, and then they've picked up a lot of injuries to a lot of players and I think they could have been forgiven for not having a good start to the season. To win their first two games is a huge achievement."
The Scotland international was Cardiff's second-longest serving player behind Peter Whittingham. He joined City from Norwich in the summer of 2009, and played 275 times for the Bluebirds.
Cardiff City CEO Ken Choo told the club's website: "David has been a wonderful servant to our football club for over seven seasons and whilst we're saddened to see him go, we felt it would be wrong to stand in the way of him moving back to the Premier League.
"There is a deep mutual respect between David and the club and it was with this in mind that we gave David our blessing to make a decision.
"He will remain part of the Cardiff City family and will always be welcome home. It goes without saying that David leaves with our utmost thanks and sincerest best wishes for the future."
Marshall began his career at Celtic before joining Norwich, where he made over 100 appearances, in 2007.
