Hull City are in talks with former Watford and Crystal Palace defender Adrian Mariappa, Sky sources understand.
The 29-year-old became a free agent last month after his three-year contract with Palace came to an end.
Mariappa - a Jamaica international with 38 caps - played only seven times for Alan Pardew' side last season and was reportedly of interest to Rangers earlier in the summer.
Mariappa joined Crystal Palace when they were promoted to the Premier League in 2013 after spending a year at Reading, who were relegated to the Championship that summer.
He made just 49 appearances for Palace over three years however, and was not offered the chance to renew his contract.
Harrow-born Mariappa began his career as a trainee at Watford and played over 200 time for the club before his departure in 2012.
