Leicester boss Claude Puel has warned his players they must not get carried away by recent results that have seen the Foxes record four successive Premier League wins.

Leicester beat Puel's former club Southampton 4-1 on Wednesday night, and have defeated Newcastle, Burnley and Tottenham during a great run of form that has seen the club climb to eighth in the table.

However, Puel is refusing to get carried away and wants his players fully focused on Saturday's Sky Live clash at home to Crystal Palace.

He said: "We must continue the work on the pitch, not look at position in the table.

"We must not be too satisfied about this game [against Southampton]. A good result, good play, but it's important to continue this work.

"It is important to keep the momentum on the pitch, not see the position now, but see the table at the end and be happy.

"I think this team [Crystal Palace] have come back with quality and good results. They've improved, and have good players in all positions.

"We started a busy period. It was a good challenge to see the possibilities and performance of other players but we cannot play every game with the same players."

Puel also hinted that record signing Islam Slimani, who has been left out of the Leicester matchday squad for the last three games, could be sold in the January transfer window.

When asked if the Algeria striker could be on his way, Puel said: "Time will tell to speak about January transfer window, but he is in the squad.

"He was on the bench for the first game. He provides the same option as (Leonardo) Ulloa because Ulloa works very well in the training session, harder.

"I think now Slimani is working very well also. It is always difficult for me to make assurances with competition between the players.

"I don't know what will happen in January, but it is very difficult for me to include all these players in this position."
