Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri says new signing Wilfred Ndidi is settling in and could make his debut as soon as this weekend's FA Cup clash with Everton.

Ndidi joined up with his new team-mates at training on Thursday after completing his move from Genk for a reported £15m.

And Ranieri, who stopped short of comparing the Nigerian with former Leicester midfielder N'Golo Kante, is keen to draft his new acquisition into his side as soon as possible.

Ranieri said: "Everything with the work permit is OK.

"He trained today, he is available for Saturday and all is fine.

"Today was his first [training session]. He was OK and I want to see tomorrow and then I'll choose [the team for the weekend].

"He is a very impressive player with a great future. He is tall and jumps very well for the headers, moves the ball quickly, and recovers the ball very well.

"We have followed him a lot and we hope he will very quickly impress the fans.

"He's another kind of player [to Kante], totally different. A lot of big teams wanted him, but he prefers to come with us to improve."

Forward Jamie Vardy will also be available for the cup tie after completing a three-match suspension and Danny Drinkwater could also feature, after Ranieri rested him for Monday's draw at Middlesbrough.
