Claudio Ranieri has confirmed Leicester City are tracking Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula.
The 26-year-old Italian has scored 24 times in Serie B this season, form that has reportedly attracted the interest of Serie-A heavyweights Juventus.
And now Ranieri has confirmed that the Premier League champions have been tracking Lapadula for a while ahead of the summer transfer window.
"I just want some new players who are at the level of my starters, and greater tactical coordination for the team," Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We also look to Italy for the market. Lapadula is very good. We've been following him for a while."
Ranieri has vowed not to disrupt the team ethos that carried Leicester to their stunning league title success and urged the squad to stay intact for a shot at next season's Champions League.
