Claudio Ranieri hailed his Leicester players after their incredible ascent to the Premier League title was completed.
Tottenham's failure to win at Ranieri's former club Chelsea handed the Foxes an historic first top-flight title in the club's 132-year history.
Ranieri said: "I'm so proud. I'm happy for my players, for the chairman, for the staff at Leicester City, all our fans and the Leicester community.
"It's an amazing feeling and I'm so happy for everyone. The players have been fantastic. They deserve to be champions.
"Their focus, their determination and their spirit has made this possible. They fight for each other every game and I love to see this in my players."
Ranieri flew back to the Midlands from Italy just before the Monday Night Football clash at Stamford Bridge and was able to watch the 2-2 draw before releasing a statement.
At the beginning of the season, the Italian was odds-on to be the first manager sacked and his side were 5000-1 to win the trophy.
And he said: "I never expected this when I arrived. I'm a pragmatic man, I just wanted to win, match-after-match, and help my players to improve week-after-week.
"Never did I think too much about where it would take us."
Leicester's title victory means Ranieri becomes the eighth different manager to win the Premier League, with the Foxes becoming the 24th team.
