Leicester City are interested in signing Sporting Gijon defender Luis Hernandez, according to Sky Sources.
The former Spain U19 international, who came through the Real Madrid academy, has been watched by the Premier League leaders through the season, is out of contract in the summer.
This season is the 27-year-old's first in La Liga and he has been an integral part of their battle to stay in the division, with Gijon currently currently 18th and two points from safety.
Spanish radio has linked the centre-half with a move to the King Power Stadium in the last 24 hours and Sky sources understand that while talks have taken place and there is interest from Leicester, a deal is still some way off.
