Jamie Vardy says screamer against Liverpool was best goal of career

Jamie Vardy believes his wonder goal against Liverpool was the best of his career as he kept Leicester three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Vardy, who hit his 17th and 18th goals of the season in Tuesday night's 2-0 win, opened the scoring with a 25-yard dipping strike just past the hour-mark in front of England manager Roy Hodgson.
The striker, who is believed to be on the verge of signing a new contract at Leicester, insisted the victory was as important as the goals.
But when asked if he thought he had ever scored a better goal, he told Sky Sports: "No I don't, to be fair. Obviously a goal's a goal - but more importantly it's three points for the club.
"I was looking all game and Simon Mignolet's been quite far off his line. As soon as Riyad [Mahrez] has played it through and it has bounced quite high, I took my chance and luckily it has gone on top of him."

Vardy also insisted that the three points were vital for the club to keep the momentum going ahead of a difficult clash at second-place Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
He added: "It's obviously important because we knew we were three points clear before today and it was down to us to keep the momentum going.
"We've done that with a good three points."
