Leicester City are set to sign Birmingham winger Demarai Gray, according to Sky sources.
The 19-year-old is understood to have completed a medical after Birmingham accepted a £3.75m bid - the release clause in his contract - from their Midlands rivals on Saturday.
The Foxes hope to finalise the deal and announce him as their first signing of the winter transfer window within the next 48 hours.
Gray, an England U20 international, has featured in every one of Birmingham's 24 games in the Sky Bet Championship this season and scored in the win at Leeds on October 3.
He was the subject of several bids from Bournemouth last summer but turned down the chance to move to the Premier League before continuing to improve with the Blues this term.
Having been forced to leave Gray out of his starting line-up for the 2-1 defeat of Brentford on Saturday, Birmingham manager Gary Rowett said he wished the youngster all the best for the future.
Rowett said: "Should the move go through I wish him all the best - he is an ambitious young player.
"The club have done all the right things and now we will have funds to strengthen the team. We can now move the team in a different direction and use the money wisely.
"Demarai is desperate to play in the Premier League and he backs his own ability to fulfil that dream. We have shown that we have had two games without him and done well."
