Gokhan Inler will not rush into a Leicester exit but is prepared to leave in order to save his ambitions of playing at Euro 2016.

The 31-year-old is interesting a number of clubs ahead of the January window after failing to break into Claudio Ranieri's table-topping team.

Inler has made just two Premier League starts since a summer move from Napoli and wants to safeguard his spot in Switzerland's squad for France next year.

Inler, Switzerland's captain, will work with Leicester to find a solution and is happy at the club despite his lack of action, but his agent Dino Lamberti admitted the midfielder needs to play.

He said: "Gokhan [Inler] is, more than ever, willing to come out on top at Leicester City.

"Of course, due to his current situation, in which he is part of a team that is doing exceptionally well, yet hardly featuring, I am in close contact with a number of clubs as potential suitors - be it on loan or on a permanent deal.

"Leading up to Euro 2016 and being the captain of the Swiss national team Gokhan does need more regular match practice under his belt.

Andy King was preferred ahead of Inler for Saturday's 3-2 win at Everton, despite Danny Drinkwater's injury, which sent the Foxes five points clear at the top of the table.

Inler last started a league match in Leicester's 2-2 draw at Stoke in September but since then the Foxes have lost just once to become shock title contenders.
