QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has written an Instagram post announcing that his long spell with the Championship side is at an end.
The 29-year-old Argentinian midfielder arrived at the club in 2009 and is a firm favourite among the Loftus Road fans.
A fine passer of the ball, he was an integral member of the 2011 Championship-winning side, but has suffered terrible luck since, suffering three anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Fit again this season, Faurlin has made 30 appearances in the QPR midfield, but his contract has now expired and it seems he is not going to be offered a new deal.
"After seven seasons, a long journey with some tough, difficult spells, but with some of the best and more precious moments in my career, I write to say goodbye," Faurlin posted.
"I won't comment on the decision. I just want to thank everyone at QPR.
"Thanks to every single person who works behind the scenes, you have all been so important to me and to us the players.
"And massive thanks to the fans, for your support and your loyalty, especially in the bad moments. I will be eternally grateful for that.
"I am really happy and pleased to have been fit and available for selection all season.
"I want more, I am healthy and I want to play football more than ever!"
