Neil Warnock will miss QPR's Championship game at Middlesbrough on Friday night for personal reasons.
The club's interim boss will hand over control of the team to Kevin Blackwell, who was brought in as assistant last week and he will be in charge for the game, which is live on Sky Sports.
Warnock returned to the club when Chris Ramsey was still there and was put in charge when the head coach lost his job on November 4 and Sky sources reported earlier this week that he will remain in charge until the end of the month.
Rangers have played once since Warnock's appointment, drawing 0-0 with Preston at Loftus Road, as Les Ferdinand continues the search for a new permanent manager.
The club has been linked with a move for Burton boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink but the League One side moved swiftly to deny that speculation.
