Everton forward Steven Naismith is set to undergo a medical at Norwich ahead of a potential £8.5m move, Sky sources understand.
The deal could be announced as early as Monday, should the 29-year-old complete the assessment.
The Canaries manager Alex Neil said after the weekend's defeat to Bournemouth that the deal had been close for "the best part of two weeks".
He added: "There has been a lot of talk about it but until things are complete and over the line there is not much to say."
Sky sources reported in December that Norwich were to renew their interest in the Scotland international after a failed attempt to sign him last summer.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez admitted last week that Naismith was one of three players set to leave Goodison Park along with Aiden McGeady and Darron Gibson.
It is understood the Naismith deal stalled last week after interest from Swansea City before being renewed over the last few days.
