Sean Dyche says he is flattered by speculation linking him to the vacant manager's position at Leicester, but insists he is focused on his work at Burnley.
Claude Puel was sacked by Leicester on Sunday after 16 months in charge and recent reports have linked a number of coaches to the role at the King Power Stadium, including Dyche.
When asked what he thought of speculation linking him to the job, the Burnley boss said: "I'm still here, I've been here six, approaching six-and-a-half years. I've had speculation in the past and it's always flattering of course but generally speaking I'm still here.
"At one point and I always say this, for good or bad reasons, sometimes things change but they haven't changed in six and a half years so I just get on with my work here."
After a poor start to the season, Burnley have turned their fortunes around, winning five out of their last eight matches and drawing the other three. It is their longest top-flight run without defeat since a run of nine in 1966, and Dyche is hoping his side can maintain those levels for as long as possible.
"The run we've been on and the run we continue to go on brings energy and it brings more focus, more energy and more desire. That's what we want. We want to continue to find that consistency of performance," he added.
"Earlier in the season we had pockets of games where we were very, very good but now we're putting that into 95 minute performances and that's the most pleasing thing for me."
The form of Burnley strikers Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood has helped Burnley's revival. Both players have scored four goals in each of their last four Premier League games and Dyche is delighted they are getting the recognition he feels they deserve.
"They've done really well. We've got two strikers who are very active both physically with the demands of the Premier League but also with their quality and I think it's good that that's getting recognised. They're quality, the pair of them," he said.
However, despite Burnley's impressive unbeaten streak they still find themselves just six points above the relegation zone. They face Newcastle at St James' Park on Tuesday night before playing Crystal Palace at Turf Moor on Saturday.
"We continue to look at the next game. The players deserve a lot of credit for this run but they know that the next game is the most important," Dyche added.
"We've spoken about that many times and we didn't lose sight of it when we weren't doing so well either. It's an unforgiving league and we know that. We know that we've got to continue the good work that's getting done and with good performances."
