James Tarkowski insists Burnley are not out of the woods yet despite beating title-chasing Tottenham to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.

Goals from Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes overcame Spurs 2-1 at Turf Moor, live on Sky Sports, as the Clarets beat a top-six side at home for the first time in more than two years.

The result lifted Sean Dyche's side to 30 points with 11 games to go - six points clear of danger - and marked a fifth win since being thrashed at home to Everton on Boxing Day.

But, speaking to Sky Sports News, Tarkowski warned: "We're not out of it. We've got to keep scrapping.

"It is a good result but we need to continue. We're still down near the bottom of the table so we need to keep pushing.

"Maybe the Boxing Day result was a wake-up call. We realised we were in a relegation battle. Ever since then, a couple of results went our way and we started to get a bit more confidence.

"You can see some of the lads out there are playing terrific - the two front lads have been flying for the last couple of months, and you've got Dwight McNeil, who is 19 years old, playing week-in, week-out and doing really well.
