Nick Pope says Burnley's success in the Premier League this season is partly down to the club's upholding of traditional values.
Sean Dyche's side are virtually assured of a seventh-placed finish which would see the Clarets qualify for the Europa League next season - the club's first foray into European football in more than 50 years.
Burnley hold a six-point lead over eighth-placed Everton with just two games to play, with Sam Allardyce's side also needing a 15-goal swing in their favour to finish seventh.
Pope insists the club's unexpected success this term is down to the qualities within the squad which are no longer associated with modern football.
The goalkeeper said: "It's down to lots of things: togetherness, squad mentality, effort, desire.
"Things you maybe don't associate with modern football nowadays, we've got in abundance.
"Training is a big part of what we do, we train hard every day with two players for every position pushing each other.
"They are the things which have got us where we are today."
