Sean Dyche has hailed Burnley for being mentally tough and finding a way to win despite being below par at Watford.
The Clarets posted their fourth successive Premier League victory when they beat Watford 2-1 at Vicarage Road on Saturday to maintain their European hopes for next season.
Watford enjoyed greater periods of possession and led through Roberto Pereyra's 60th-minute strike.
But two goals in three second-half minutes from Sam Vokes - 22 seconds after coming off the bench - and Jack Cork kept Burnley's run going.
Dyche said: "We had a strong mentality. It was a good win for different reasons, especially after making a couple of changes.
"It is hard to question the performance because we were very good at West Brom, we were very good second half at West Ham, very good against Everton, so it is hard for us to keep that level constantly.
"So sometimes you're going to have a bit of a dip, and we did at times, but all the good habits that we have in training found a way of paying us back.
"I have never spoken as if we are just going to roll teams over every week. We are trying to improve and we have to find different ways of winning and we did, with two set-pieces.
"That belief system has to be there, it is very tough playing in the Premier League."
