Sean Dyche believes there's more to come from his Burnley team after they beat Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park.
Jeff Hendrick's first-half strike proved to be the winner on Nissan Super Sunday, sending Burnley up to sixth in the Premier League table.
They have taken points from visits to Wembley, Stamford Bridge, Anfield and now Goodison Park this season but Dyche insists his side are still "a work in progress".
"I'm very pleased," Dyche told Sky Sports. "I know there is a bit of noise about how Everton are playing and their tricky start but they have some very good players.
"We didn't come here thinking it would be an easy game and I thought our lads dealt with that very well. We had a bit of a soft start but we grew into the game and scored a great goal.
"We can play when we need to and I think we can play longer and stronger when we have to as well. Finding that mixture to win games is important for us.
"We are a work in progress. There are just signs we are shifting forward."
Hendrick's winner followed a 24-pass move - the most in the build-up of any Burnley goal in Premier League history - but Dyche was equally happy with his team's defensive work.
"It was a fantastic long ball from [Robbie] Brady and we kept it alive when the ball went in the box and it was a really calm finish from Jeff [Hendrick]. A lot of good things there.
"I'm equally impressed by the shape of the team later in the game, the willingness to defend properly, that's equally important."
