Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock has insisted that there is no feud between him and Jason Puncheon, and praised his winger for his professional attitude.

Puncheon took exception to Warnock’s appointment as Palace boss after comments from the then radio pundit slamming the 29-year-old’s woeful penalty miss at Tottenham last season.

The public fall out escalated and Puncheon was reportedly ready to hand in a transfer request as a result of Warnock’s arrival at Selhurst Park.

However, the former Leeds United boss is adamant there is no problem between the pair, and they resolved their issues quickly and in a professional manner.

“I was told he was going to leave before my first day,” Warnock told The Sun.

“So I was waiting for him to ask but we just had a quick chat, only a ten minute chat, and he was brilliant really.

“I told him to just get on with it and I appreciate what he has done.

“For me it’s gone, we put it to bed early doors and he has been a revelation.”
