Cardiff have signed Leandro Bacuna from Reading on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Bacuna will cost Cardiff £3m, Sky Sports News understands.
The midfielder has been with the Royals since moving from Aston Villa in August 2017 for a deal in the region of £3m.
He featured 28 times and scored three goals in the Championship for struggling Reading this season.
The 27-year-old has Premier League experience from his time at Villa Park, where he made 85 top-flight appearances, scoring six goals.
Another Cardiff target, Almamy Toure, has joined Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Deadline Day, according to Sky in Germany.
Sky Sports News understands the Bluebirds were in talks for the 22-year-old Monaco right-back but he has since opted for a move to Germany.
