Watch as Cardiff's Gary Madine and Junior Hoilett miss two stoppage-time penalties in the 1-0 defeat to title rivals Wolves

There was late drama in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday night as Cardiff missed two penalties in stoppage time against Wolves.

Trailing to Ruben Neves' stunning second-half free-kick, the Bluebirds had a fantastic opportunity to level in the fourth minute of added time when Conor Coady pushed Anthony Pilkington in the box, but Gary Madine saw his penalty saved superbly by John Ruddy.

Two minutes later Cardiff were handed another glorious chance to equalise after referee Mike Dean penalised Ivan Cavaleiro for a poor challenge on Aron Gunnarsson. Junior Hoilett was the man to step up and take the resulting spot-kick but he rattled the crossbar with the last kick of the game.

The result means Wolves are now nine points clear of Cardiff at the top of the table and on the verge of securing promotion to the Premier League.
