Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi wrapped up his transfer to Stoke on a season-long loan on Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old Portugal-born star was surplus to requirements at Porto. Stoke will have an option to sign him on a permanent basis after the initial deal is completed.
Martins Indi has 31 international caps for Holland and was a key figure in the team which reached the World Cup semi-finals under Louis van Gaal in 2014.
Philipp Wollscheid's move to Wolfsburg was also concluded on Wednesday afternoon, announced on the German club's Twitter account.
Wollscheid was in Germany waiting for the green light from Stoke to process his move to the Bundesliga side.
The 27-year-old defender said: "I want to make an impact in Wolfsburg with good performances."
