Stoke City have completed a deal to sign highly-rated Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi for a fee that could rise to €6m (£5m) after his work permit is granted.
The 19-year-old helped his club Al Ahly to the Egyptian title last season, under former Tottenham manager Martin Jol. Sobhi scored 17 goals in 71 appearances for the club in just over two years at the club.
Chief executive Tony Scholes told Stoke's official website: "We are absolutely delighted to have signed a player of Ramadan's undoubted quality and potential.
"He's a special young talent who is excited about the prospect of making an impact in the Premier League and we're looking forward to giving him that platform."
Sobhi, who is expected to receive his UK visa over the next 48 hours, is likely to join his new team-mates in the US city of Orlando later this week, where they are preparing for the new Premier League campaign.
The Egypt international becomes Stoke's first signing of the summer.
