Stoke boss Mark Hughes frustrated after goalless draw at Newcastle

Mark Hughes was left frustrated after his Stoke City side were held to a goalless draw away to Newcastle on Saturday.
Jack Butland was the Potters' star man at St James' Park, keeping out a host of Newcastle chances throughout the game.
And, while acknowledging the importance of Butland's contribution, Hughes argued his side could have left Tyneside with more than a point, had they managed to turn their decent spells of possession into goals.
"The overriding feeling with the result is frustration, we had a lot of the play in terms of good possession," Hughes told Sky Sports.
"We didn't make the best use of the ball, particularly in the first half, where we had good possession around Newcastle's box. There were very few shots taken and we needed to test the 'keeper more than we did.

"In the second half once again we shifted the ball around the pitch well enough and we had a couple of half chances where things could have gone better, and their 'keeper made a brilliant save to deny [Jon] Walters' header.
"You know as an away side the home side will come and have some pressure, so we had to withstand that and during that period we're thankful to Jack who made some really good saves to keep parity.
"There were situations there where we felt we could have capitalised more on."
Stoke travelled to the North East on the back of securing their place in the Capital One Cup quarter finals with a penalty shootout victory over holders Chelsea.
Hughes added: "It has been a physically demanding week both emotionally and physically but we kept at it and in the end we were still going strong, so that's a credit to the side.
"We freshened things up today, we needed to look after a few players so we brought a few players back which helped.
"It's been a busy week but all in all we've got through to the next round of the Capital One Cup and we've picked up another away point, which is what we seem to be doing at the moment.
"Our away form is good, we just need to address our home form which you could argue we did on Tuesday against Chelsea, so things are looking OK."
