Southampton right-back Cedric Soares has wrapped up a loan move to Inter Milan until the end of the season.
It is understood the deal also includes the option to make the move permanent in the summer.
According to Sky in Italy, Inter will pay an initial loan fee in the region of £500,000, and will need to pay the Saints an initial £9.5m to seal the player long-term.
Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that talks between the clubs were at an advanced stage, as new Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl trims down his squad.
Manolo Gabbiadini and Wesley Hoedt have already left the club for Sampdoria and Celta Vigo respectively.
Soares joined the Saints from Portuguese club Sporting in 2015 and made 119 appearances in his three-and-a-half years at St Mary's.
It was during this spell he won the 2016 European Championship with Portugal.
A Southampton statement read: "The club would like to wish Cedric good luck for the rest of the season with Inter."
