Southampton are close to completing the signing of Mouez Hassen - the Nice goalkeeper - Sky sources understand.
The 21-year-old has made 50 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, who are second in the table only by goal difference.
Hassen is a product of the Nice academy and known to Saints boss Claude Puel from his time there as manager.
He would be one for the future for Southampton, who have England goalkeeper Fraser Forster as their number one and the talented Alex McCarthy as his deputy.
Southampton are yet to make a signing in the January window and have sold centre-back Jose Fonte to West Ham.
