Southampton still negotiating deal for Napoli's Manolo Gabbiadini - Sky sources

Southampton are continuing negotiations with Napoli to sign striker Manolo Gabbiadini, according to Sky in Italy.

The two clubs failed to agree a fee during talks on Monday. Saints are offering the Italians £13m, but Napoli are holding out for £17m.

Sky sources understand Southampton are unlikely to go higher than the £13m they have offered. German clubs Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach are also interested in the player.

Southampton are short of options up front, with Charlie Austin out of action until April with a shoulder injury and Sofiane Boufal away at the Africa Cup of Nations.
