Wolves celebrated their Championship title-winning season with an open-top bus parade through the city.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side were crowned champions last month after a 4-0 win at Bolton, but fell agonisingly short of reaching the 100-point mark by losing to relegated Sunderland on Sunday.
Nevertheless, it has been a remarkable season for Wolves, who led the way at the top of the league for most of the campaign.
Thousands of Wolves fans turned out in bright sunshine on Monday to see the trophy and celebrate promotion to the Premier League.
Santo told Sky Sports News: "It's always different. I have experienced many moments but this is really special for everybody, it means a lot.
"Now we have to celebrate. Then we have to rest. Then we have to work and we'll set the new targets."
