West Brom have again quelled speculation linking forward Saido Berahino with a move away from the Hawthorns.

Tottenham have been repeatedly linked with the England U21 international and reports this week claim the Londoners are preparing a bid of between £10m and £15m.

But West Brom posted on their Twitter feed on Tuesday morning: "Ok, this is getting silly now. So let us make it clear. There has been NO bid for Saido. That's it. Carry on everyone."

Berahino, 21, scored 14 times in the Premier League last season and, according to widespread reports, West Brom are reportedly interested in extending his contract, which has two years left to run.

And West Brom’s minimum valuation of the young striker is believed to be in the £20m-£25m range, rather than the amount being rumoured.

If a top club comes in for Saido, as we have said before, you look at Raheem Sterling and eventually they have to sell.
Tony Pulis on Saido Berahino future

Earlier this month manager Tony Pulis said: "He (Berahino) is a good player and we are desperate to keep him.

"If a top club comes in, as we have said before, you look at Raheem Sterling and eventually they have to sell.

"And once we get going and if he scores a lot of goals for us, then I’m sure it will be very difficult for the football club to keep him."
