West Brom caretaker Darren Moore vowed to keep battling relegation after grabbing an unlikely survival lifeline at Old Trafford.
The rock-bottom Baggies produced one of the shocks of the season as Jay Rodriguez sealed a 1-0 victory that confirmed Manchester City as Premier League champions.
"Pride sums up my emotions," Moore told Sky Sports. "It was important to come here and give a positive performance.
"Everyone at the football club, the players and the staff, put a real good shift in. There is a wonderful belief at the club and we showed that today.
"We've got faith in one another, the players and staff have got faith in each other, we believe in the club.
"Things have probably gone a little bit by the wayside this season but it's really important we continue to fight, work hard for each other and show that fighting spirit we showed today.
"We came up against a very good Manchester United side today, they asked questions all game but my team to a man did their jobs today.
"I'm delighted for the players and staff and that sends ripples through the football club. There a good team, a good bunch of players and they showed that today."
West Brom remain rooted to the foot of the Premier League despite claiming their first victory in 11 league outings.
The victory means Moore has already equalled Alan Pardew's Premier League wins tally as West Brom manager - 1 in 18 - in just his second game as boss.
Moore would not be drawn on becoming Pardew's permanent successor, though, choosing instead to focus on the Baggies' remaining for games.
"It's one game at a time, I'm just looking at the next game," he added. "I'm not interested in anything like that because I'm focused on the games.
"This was a big game today, we've got another next week and we need to focus on that. We keep fighting on game at a time.
"If we focus all of our energy on the next match I'm sure the results will take care of themselves."
