Alan Pardew has revealed one player could leave West Brom before the transfer window closes, but says it is not Jonny Evans or James McClean.
The Baggies manager, who signed Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge on loan until the end of the season on Monday, refused to say which player could be joining another club.
Defender Evans has been the subject of interest from other clubs, with Pardew previously saying they could sell him at the right price, while West Brom rejected a loan offer from Derby Country for McClean.
It was previously understood that West Brom would need to sell players to generate money for a striker in January to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, but now Sturridge has joined on loan, Pardew says their "interest in any other striker is over" and he does not expect any more players to come in.
"I have nothing to complain about, as I stand now I have a good squad and I don't really want to lose anyone," said Pardew, ahead of West Brom's away fixture at Manchester City.
"We do have one player who we think might go out but it's not Jonny Evans or James McClean."
Sky Sports News understands there has been no contact from Manchester City or Arsenal since the opening week of the window about Evans and Pardew said on Tuesday he had received no further contact about the 30-year-old and thinks he will stay.
Pardew said the pressure of a signing a big striker on a permanent deal can put a lot of stress on a club, but getting Sturridge on loan had made life much easier for West Brom, who are currently second bottom in the Premier League
"The cost of Daniel, to perhaps another striker is a lesser cost and puts less risk on us if the worst were to happen and this club gets relegated because that is the danger we are still in and we can't take our eye off that," added Pardew.
Pardew believes the 28-year-old, who has 15 caps for England, sits alongside Harry Kane when ranked among the strikers in his country's set-up.
"You would have to put Sturridge in the same category as Harry Kane," said Pardew.
"Harry has had a great spell in terms of fitness and is at the top of his game, and I think that's understandable that he's probably ahead of Daniel.
"But Daniel has the potential, particularly against teams where you need goals and you need to break them down, he has individual flair that not many players can match. So if we can get him fit and anywhere near his best, then I'm pretty sure Gareth (Southgate) will be taking a close look."
