Tony Pulis says he is enjoying life at the moment, with West Brom eighth in the table after claiming 13 points from six games.

The Baggies travel to London's Olympic Stadium on Saturday to face a revitalised West Ham, who are just one spot behind them in the table.

When the teams met at the Hawthorns in September, the Hammers were beaten 4-2 but Pulis expects a much harder encounter this time around.

He said: "It's going to be a tough game. They've come through that Dimitri Payet stage and they've got good players and a good manager. They're in good hands.

"They've got their mojo back after a tough start to the season.

"I think Andy Carroll will play. People say he's one-dimensional. He's not. He's excellent not just with his head.

Pulis insists he and his squad are staying grounded over their impressive Premier League season so far

"When he's fit, if he plays 38 games in the Premier League, you would expect him to get between 15 and 20 goals.

"Those players are priceless. Andy's only problem over the years is his injuries."

As for his own side's current fortunes, Pulis said: "We've done very well so far we just need to keep things going.

"We need to recognise why we've been successful and keep doing it. It's good times for the football club.

It's lovely that we are winning but we're not getting carried away.

"It's small steps. We haven't achieved anything yet. It's lovely that we are winning but we're not getting carried away."

And with two weeks before West Brom's next match on February 25, Pulis is giving his squad a break.

He added: "We will give the players a few days off after the West Ham game. They can take their families away. They've deserved it."

Pulis also praised 30-year-old James Morrison who could make his 300th Albion appearance in London this weekend.

"James had an injury but fitness wise he is over that. His form has been very good. He can open doors and makes passes."
