Tony Pulis gives his reaction to the draw with Tottenham

Tony Pulis conceded West Brom had goalkeeper Ben Foster to thank for a "fantastic" first-half display in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday.

Foster made several brilliant stops to keep a dominant Tottenham at bay before Nacer Chadli put the Baggies in front in the 82nd minute.

Even though Dele Alli snatched a point for the visitors with a late equaliser, Pulis was satisfied with a point.

"Tottenham completely dominated the first half and Ben Foster made some fantastic saves that kept us in the game," the Baggies boss told Sky Sports.

"At half-time there was a bit of dust shaken around the place because were still playing international football, but second half they responded and came out and got a bit tighter and closer.

"We played some good stuff and it was much better, we got to the ball better and looked more accomplished, but with Ben to thank for the first half."

Chadli's goal continued his fine start at West Brom after joining from Spurs in the summer.

The Belgian has now scored four goals in his last five Premier League games.

"It was a great finish because Hugo Lloris made a great save and then gets himself up and covers the goal," said Pulis. "There's only one place Nacer could put it and it was in that top square.

Reflecting on the Baggies' start to the season, which has seen them lose just two of eight games, Pulis added: "We keep picking points up. The Premier League is a tough and relentless league, we know what we are about, we must not stop doing that.

"We have a tough run of fixtures and we have to get through that and then hopefully when the window opens up we will be able to add one or two that can push us on to make us even better."
