West Brom boss Tony Pulis praised his side's focus in their 4-2 win over West Ham, following more uncertainty over his future.
Pulis was forced to admit on Friday that the new West Brom owners will have the final say on his future, though a win should certainly help his cause.
Famed for his defensive approach, which has often come under scrutiny, Pulis' men showed great attacking prowess to race to a 4-0 lead at the Hawthorns.
And while West Ham fought back with two goals, West Brom held on to win their second league game of the season.
"As a manager you've got to accept that the public have got a view," said Pulis. "Like it or not they're going to express themselves.
"You have to stay focused and the most important thing is winning the game and now me going home to see my grandchildren."
The hosts were 3-0 up at the break after goals from Nacer Chadli, Salomon Rondon and James McClean.
Chadli's second put West Brom in cruise control, but West Ham hit back thanks to a Michail Antonio header and Manuel Lanzini penalty.
Chadli, who was making his home debut after he joined from Tottenham for £13m in August, was a class above for West Brom in midfield, and Pulis highlighted his link-up play with Rondon as a defining factor for the win.
"We brought Chadli in, who we think is going to be a good player who can score goals as well as create them," Pulis added.
"I'm so pleased he's off to a good start in front of the home support. He and Salomon linked up well at times."
"He can complement Salomon because he wants balls into his feet and play the passes. He [Chadli] got a bit tired in the end but we're pleased."
West Brom's victory was their first at home since March, and Pulis conceded their form at the Hawthorns has been a disappointment since his arrival in 2015.
"We've not done as well at home as we should do and that has been a disappointment since I've come to this football club," Pulis added.
"Our last win was in March against Man United. But we've played well today, we have done before but haven't taken our chances."
"We had a look at West Ham and thought if they had a lot of possession, they would vacate certain areas we thought we could exploit, thank goodness there were times we did do that."
West Brom's second win in five league games sends them up to eighth in the table.
