Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu has signed for West Brom on a two-year deal.
Wales, who were Euro 2016 semi-finalists, are preparing for their opening World Cup qualifier against Moldova in Cardiff on September 5.
The forward was allowed to leave Wales manager Chris Coleman's international set-up, and now joins Tony Pulis' side to add firepower to the squad.
Robson-Kanu told the club's website: "It was an important decision for me and my family and we took our time.
"But it's a fantastic club and manager and I'm really happy to be here.
"I'm particularly pleased to be back in the Premier League. I am grateful for everything that Reading have done for me and I enjoyed my time there.
"But it's great to take this step."
Pulis said: "Everybody enjoyed watching Hal's contribution to the Welsh performances at the Euros and we're pleased to have him on board,"
The 27-year-old ran down his Reading contract before scoring twice for Wales at Euro 2016. He has not played a game since the tournament in France.
