West Brom boss Tony Pulis hopes that Leicester win the league

West Brom manager Tony Pulis says he hopes that Leicester win the Premier League after seeing his side draw 2-2 at the King Power Stadium.

Goals from Salomon Rondon and Craig Gardner denied Claudio Ranieri's side the win that would have seen them move five points clear at the top of the table.

However, despite denting Leicester's title hopes, Pulis now wants the Foxes to go on and complete the most unlikely of title triumphs.

"I hope they do [win the title]," he said. "I think if you look at the past, I think Forest when Cloughy took them up a long time ago, they were rank outsiders and they ended up winning the league that year.

"I think if Leicester do it this year, it's an even bigger achievement than that because the divide, the financial gap between the people who have and the people who haven't is enormous.

"I'd love to see them do it, I think the majority of football people would love to see them do it because it gives us all hope."

Moreover, the former Stoke and Crystal Palace boss was effusive in his praise of Leicester after the match saying their supporters should be proud of the team.

"They're an old-fashioned team in the way they play, they play through the pitch and they get lots of crosses in, lots of shots, they've got great enthusiasm, great balance to the team, they all know their jobs," added Pulis.

"Every supporter of this football club should be proud of that team because they don't half give it a go."

As for the match itself, Pulis was pleased with his side's battling qualities to earn a point.

"We've been resolute in lots of ways," he explained. "We've had a little bit of fortune as well, Ben's made a wonderful save in the second half but we've done well.

"We worked really, really hard and we looked a threat going forward. To come to the league leaders and put the effort in that we've done today is absolutely first class."
