Tony Pulis was disappointed that West Brom conceded an injury-time goal against Liverpool

Tony Pulis was disappointed to concede a late equaliser as West Brom drew 2-2 at Liverpool on Sunday.

Divock Origi's deflected strike salvaged a point for Liverpool after goals from Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson had put the Baggies in position to take three Premier League points from Anfield.

Olsson also had a first-half volley ruled out for offside after referee Craig Pawson consulted with his assistant, and while Pulis paid tribute to his players' work rate, he was left frustrated by the manner in which Olsson's strike was chalked off.

"We're obviously disappointed," said Pulis. "We showed great resilience and worked really hard and to get done with a deflected goal in injury time is really disappointing for the players.

"We've done well, you can't fault the players. We came to a place like this, with the budget, the standing and everything else, and we shouldn't really be in their league in respect of everything, but we've been competitive and really worked hard.

"What disappointed me, and I haven't seen it again, is the assistant doesn't put his flag up [for Olsson's volley].

"If he puts his flag up straight away then fine, it's offside. But the disappointing thing was that didn't happen. Then why the referee goes over to speak to him I don't know."

Dejan Lovren was carried off on a stretcher with 10 minutes remaining after a tackle from Craig Gardner, although Jurgen Klopp is hopeful the injury is not too serious.

Pulis felt Gardner played the ball in the challenge with the Liverpool defender, and the West Brom manager picked out two other tackles on West Brom players that he felt merited closer scrutiny.

"There's two challenges we are very disappointed with, the [James] Milner challenge on Gardner, where it looks a very poor challenge, and then Skrtel's challenge on Rondon," Pulis continued.

"That's completely over the ball, so I'd look at those two. I think Gardner's challenge, he actually plays the ball. The other two, they don't play the ball."
