After serving a three-match ban for fighting his team-mate, Jermaine Beckford saw red again just three minutes into his comeback.

The Preston striker was introduced as a substitute on 63 minutes but was heading for an early bath on 66 minutes after he was sent-off after kicking out at Leeds defender Kyle Bartley while both players were on the deck.

The dismissal makes it back-to-back red cards for the striker after he was sent off in Preston's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday for fighting with teammate Eoin Doyle.

Both players were each fined for their action and released a statement, which spoke about how much they regretted the incident.

Unfortunately for everyone involved with Preston, Beckford's promise to clean up his act didn't last long.

Preston boss Simon Grayson called his striker "stupid" after the game.

"Bartley and Ayling came through the back of Jermaine and he acted stupidly," Grayson said.
