Match in a Minute: Paul Merson gives his verdict on Sunderland 2-3 Crystal Palace
Saturday 24 September 2016 19:52, UK
We gave Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson just 60 seconds to sum up his thoughts on Crystal Palace's 3-2 comeback win over Sunderland.
There was plenty to look back on as Sunderland looked set to get their first Premier League win of the season - only to throw it away in stoppage time.
Jermain Defoe took advantage of a mistake from Joe Ledley to put the hosts ahead then added another on the hour mark.
At that point, it looked as though David Moyes was finally on course to get his first league win since being appointed as Sam Allardyce's replacement at the Stadium of Light.
However, Sunderland's defensive frailties were quickly exposed as Ledley pulled one back a minute later and that started Palace's comeback.

James McArthur soon headed in a leveller and just when it seemed like the match might end in stalemate, Christian Benteke won it four minutes into time added on.
The remarkable victory gave Palace their third consecutive win in the Premier League for the first time since August last year.
Sunderland, meanwhile, now sit bottom of the table after Stoke's 1-1 draw with West Brom took them above Moyes' men.
