Sunderland have made an £11m bid for West Ham forward Diafra Sakho, according to Sky sources.
Sam Allardyce is looking to strengthen the Sunderland squad after narrowly avoiding the drop last season and knows Sakho well from his time as Hammers boss.
Sakho was signed by Allardyce from Metz in the summer of 2014 and was the top scorer for the Londoners the following season with 12 goals in 26 games.
He was not as prolific last term, finishing with seven Premier League goals after missing time between November and March due to a thigh injury.
The 26-year-old Senegal international may be available this summer for the right price, as West Ham are in the market themselves and have put in bids for several strikers.
