Sheffield Wednesday striker Sergiu Bus will have a scan to determine the full extent of his groin injury.

The 22-year-old was withdrawn from the warm-up prior to kick-off in Saturday's defeat at Derby and his absence is a setback for manager Stuart Gray, whose side have struggled for goals all season. Bus is expected to be sidelined for between one and two weeks.

The Romanian, signed from CSKA Sofia for an undisclosed fee during the January transfer window, was in line for his second start for the Owls at Derby after making his full debut in the recent goalless draw against Brighton.

Wednesday have mustered only 25 goals in league games this season, the lowest tally in the Sky Bet Championship, and an extended spell on the sidelines for Bus could force Gray back into the loan market.
