Robert Snodgrass managed to avoid conceding a penalty despite an obvious handball after Ruben Neves' free-kick in Aston Villa's 4-1 win over Wolves.
Villa pair James Chester and Lewis Grabban had extended their side's lead in the second half after Wolves' Diogo Jota had bundled home to cancel out Albert Adomah's opener.
But as the second half drew to a conclusion, the most contentious incident in the game occurred when Robert Snodgrass appeared to handle Neves' delivery from just outside the area.
To the naked eye, nothing seemed to have disrupted the trajectory of the set-piece, but the Portuguese was adamant in his protests to referee David Coote, before replays later confirmed the midfielder's qualms were valid.
Nonetheless, substitute Birkir Bjarnason struck a fourth with five minutes to play to round off the resounding victory for Steve Bruce's men and reduce Wolves' lead at the top of the Championship to a slender three points.
