Jamie Ward has joined Burton on a season-long loan from Sky Bet Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.

The Northern Ireland international forward reunites with Brewers' boss Nigel Clough after the pair worked together during their spells with Derby.

Clough told Burton's official website: "We know Jamie well, he will give us another very good striking option.

"He can be a fiery character but I don't think a bit of edge will go amiss in the next few months. A bit of aggression all over the pitch is probably what we need.

"We are delighted with the business we have done so far in this window and if this squad stays fully fit, it gives us a chance up until January."
