Steve Evans says Leeds' 2-2 draw with Derby in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday evening was two points dropped for his side, while Paul Clement was frustrated by soft goals.
It was a thriller at Elland Road, with Jeff Hendrick giving Derby the initial lead, before Sol Bamba hit back just before the break to make it 1-1.
The game flipped in the second half, with Chris Wood putting the hosts before Tom Ince levelled it up just minutes after coming on as a substitute to seal a point for the promotion-chasing Rams.
But both managers felt like their sides could have won the contest, with Evans saying it was a similar two points dropped compared to their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
"Derby probably feel like a draw is a fair result, but we feel like it's two points very much dropped," the Leeds boss told Sky Sports after the game. It was a bit like Forest at the weekend and it's another two points we've let go through our fingers.
"We've learned that we've got a lot of pride, a lot of tenacity and a lot of commitment because we don't change because we've got a draw with Derby. It's a game we should've seen out.
"We're a different team now. It's a different team to what we had for the first four months of the season and we'll be a different team when we add two or three selected others to the group.
"From my reckoning, it doesn't matter about Ipswich because we got into the top half of the table. We've got a couple of home games to come and if we deal with them by the middle of January, we'll be in a good condition."
However, Evans was quick to slam the busy festive fixture list that has seen most sides playing two games in 48 hours, although Derby did have an extra day to recuperate ahead of tonight's clash.
"It's really unfair that we had to play this fixture - to ask my team to go out there and play Sunday night and Tuesday night.
"Everyone in sport knows that the second day is particularly tough and to be asked do that and give Derby that extra day is simply shocking."
Derby have been known for their well-drilled defence this season, with Clement disappointed with the two conceded goals when he spoke to Sky Sports after the game.
"Both goals were soft really and totally unlike us. We'd only conceded 13 goals in 23 games up until tonight so I thought both goals were very disappointing and apart from that, there were very little other chances for them.
"I thought we deserved to win. We played enough good football and created enough good chances to win that game but when you go behind on 75 minutes, that's a worrying part of the game but we made a quick change.
"It was a great finish from Tom and we then pushed on at the end, had a couple of good chances and put them under pressure. We're of course disappointed not to have taken all three points however it's a good point away from home."
