Watford's Javi Gracia bemoans the fact his side have conceded soft goals in recent games following their defeat at home to Wolves

Watford manager Javi Gracia says his side are determined to play in Europe next season, despite Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Wolves at Vicarage Road.

Raul Jimenez opened the scoring when he headed in his 17th goal of the season from Diogo Jota's cross four minutes before the break.

Watford levelled soon after the break when Andre Gray pounced, drilling in a loose ball after Ryan Bennett's poor back pass gifted Gerard Deulofeu a chance.

But Jota volleyed in the winner when Ben Foster went AWOL coming out to claim Ruben Neves's deep centre with 13 minutes left.

As a result, Watford have dropped to ninth in the Premier League, four points behind Wolves in seventh, although they will still qualify for the Europa League with victory over Man City in next month's FA Cup final.

"I'm disappointed and sad - we wanted to get a better result, but it was impossible," said Gracia.
