Watford's Javi Gracia says his side managed the game and deserved the win against Wolves

Javi Gracia says his Watford players "deserved the reward" of beating Wolves on Saturday and praised their performance.

Watford scored their goals within 58 seconds of one another in the first half, with Etienne Capoue (20) and Roberto Pereyra (21) finding the net and the visitors comfortably keeping their opponents at bay.

It was a game that left head coach Gracia very happy, and he believes his squad were good value for the victory at Molineux.

As it happened

"I'm very pleased because I think we played really well in the first half. We dominated, we created chances as we scored two goals," he told Sky Sports.

"At the start of the second half, they pushed us a little bit and then we managed the game well, we could have scored more goals. We played the game well and after the last defeat at home, I think the players deserved this reward.

Highlights from Watford's 2-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League

"Scoring two goals in the first half was the key of the game. After that, we felt comfortable with the possession and everybody knows Wolves are playing well this season so it is not easy to control and dominate the game, but we did it.

It was certainly a turnaround from Watford's last Premier League outing where they were beaten 4-0 by Bournemouth at Vicarage Road, and Gracia pointed to better concentration from his side as being a factor in their win.

"In the last game, we all knew that we played not so bad to concede four goals," he added. "We played two games in one game because we played 30 minutes at the beginning then after the sending off, we played with ten players.

"Today, I think we have been very concentrated from the beginning and I think all the players deserve this victory."
